Street Geek

Hello! Without getting distracted I wanted to share one of my style looks this year. I've truthfully been away from social media this year. I took sort of a break from it due to different reasons. One of the most recent is simply because I started streaming on Twitch. And honestly streams are pretty time consuming. However I have no intention of abandoning my social media or taking my style photos.

In fact, if anything I've done a lot of shopping this year and I have tons of outfits I want to put together! One thing this year is I've gotten a bit more casual with my style. Do not fret though I still adore the visual kei and many other alternative styles so much. It's just it feels hotter every year so I needed to figure out how to dress more comfortably in truth haha.

Of course I still love my platforms (thats not gonna change!). I don't usually wear sneakers at all but I found these shoes and just thought they were different and pretty cool. I loved the platform and the side zipper, they had enough non-traditional elements to just make me want them. And honestly I actually loved wearing them and found them easy to style with. The white seemed like it'd be a weird contrast but I found even with all black outfits just having pops of white contrast helped tie in the shoes so they weren't out of place. I even tried it with a few outfit changes you can see below.

Black Magick

First Autumn OOTDs.

These outfits are primarily from Dresslily.

I went with a more minimalist nu-goth look with this outfit.
Something with simple and plain shapes but layering to bring out the movement of the clothing. I accessorized with silver jewelry to contrast against the black but without over-powering the outfit.
I'm just not a fan of gold tones honestly.

I liked this outfit because it was somewhat simple and easy to wear yet unique looking. The split cut of the long shirt gives it options for layering.

Boots: New Rock

With scarf (something I picked up during a Winter Clearance).

I enjoyed the fabric on this shirt. It has a distressed look.
This shirt was pretty soft and comfortable but ordering a L, I think it fit me slightly big. Sleeve length however on me, was PERFECT.

The last shirt was a plain black tank top. This shirt had a slightly asymmetrical cut and I ended up really liking it!
The fabric was quite soft so I will likely will this fairly often.

Uniqso: Wig Review

I am just now getting around to doing my wig review for Uniqso!
Uniqso is a store I mentioned in an earlier post about some of their other items, particularly their contacts.
However today I'm doing a review for one of their wigs!

I meant to do this earlier but after returning home from a trip it slipped my mind the wig had arrived and I just recently found it again!

To start, my wig arrived sometime in March (while I was out of town actually).
My order was shipped in a plain poly envelope and inside the wig was packaged in another plastic bag.
The delivery was pretty standard but the real magic is in the wig itself!
I ordered this one:  Cosplay Wig - Touken Ranbu Online - Kogitsunemaru

It's a cosplay wig for the character Kogitsunemaru from Touken Ranbu Online.
And although the character does look rather cool I loved the style of the wig itself.
I was very pleased with how the wig matched the product picture so well.
On top of that the wig was also already pre-styled and had shape, this is really nice as since this is meant as a cosplay wig it makes things very easy to just wear and get on with your cosplay (or just to look cool right?).

I was really happy overall with my new wig. I loved the style and how it looked. And it seems like a great wig to use for a potential cosplay of the intended character (or possibly even others).

I also found the service from UNIQSO to be helpful and friendly.

Overall

Quality: 10/10
Service: 10/10

Value: 10/10

A perfect score because it's exactly what I wanted and expected!

I highly recommend Uniqso for wigs! And although I don't own anything else from there store yet they have other things besides wigs like contact lenses as well so they are an excellent shop for cosplayers.

~Back In *Mostly* Black

I have some new looks to share today!

I did three different styles with an emphasis on  slight changes to show how much you can change up your outfit with even one or two different things.
I tried more of a nu-goth look for this and as always you can let me know what you think or what you liked most. Several items are from www.dresslink.com as well.

Outfit 1
This was my favorite. I just love this sheer black duster! It's lightweight, easy to wear and it really gives you a sense of character and has that sort of witchy, mysterious look. One of my favorite things about it as well is the sleeves, they're extra long, which means they fit even my rather long arms (and I love when long sleeves cover my full arm).

Tank Top: Tony Hawk
Jeans: H&M
Shoes: YRU

Outfit 2
Sheer Shirt: Dresslink
Necklace: ShePaintsWithBlood
Sunglasses: Dresslink

I love the shape of these sunglasses. They're really quirky but dark and full of attitude.
Both the sunglasses and the sleeveless sheer shirt I am wearing over the tank top are both from Dresslink!

Outfit 3
My third and final oufit was definitely the most different from my typical study. Floral and colorful patterns are quite trendy, particularly for Summer/Spring. The modernized kimono cardigan is also quite popular right now.  The one I am wearing is a sheer blue kimono top with floral pattern from Dresslink once again. Even though it's bright and colorful, I stayed true to my own style and kept the look edgy and dark.
